ECI Biotech is Awarded NIH CAP Program Mentorship
Accelerator Commercialization TrackDATELINE: Worcester — October 8, 2008 — ECI Biotech Inc., a Worcester-based biotechnology company, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by NIH to participate in the NIH 2008-2009 SBIR Commercialization Assistance Program (NIH-CAP). The CAP program was designed to help some of the nation’s most promising life science small companies develop their commercial businesses and transition their SBIR-developed products into the marketplace.
ECI will receive mentorship in the Accelerator Commercialization Track (ACT). The ACT is for companies who have clearly-defined markets and partners, may have commercialized other products, and/or have raised financing through institutional channels. The ACT is also for companies who are undertaking or have completed clinical studies for drug, biologic or medical device products regulated by FDA.
